Purpose Of Job:

To provide comprehensive Direct Tax and International Tax advisory and compliance support to clients by interpreting applicable tax laws, delivering technically sound solutions, ensuring timely and accurate statutory compliance, supporting tax litigation and assessments, and proactively identifying tax planning and business opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships.

Work Responsibility:

• Handling Advisory and Compliance engagements related to Direct Tax laws, such as Tax Structuring, Advisory, On-going Compliance, Litigation support, etc.
• Analyzing and interpreting provisions under the Income Tax Act as also provisions pertaining to International Tax, dealing with interpretation of Tax Treaties
• Conducting technical research and preparing memos, opinions, presentation, etc. on technical issues raised by the client
• Handling assessment proceedings, CIT (Appeals), Tribunal, etc. related matters and representation before the tax authorities and liasoning with the Counsels as may be required
• Proactively seeking opportunities to help business grow and solving complex business problems
• TDS advisory and review of TDS returns, TDS notices, demand reconciliation and defaults.
• Computation of advance tax liability across entities; timely payment tracking and basic tax planning.
• Opinion on foreign withholding tax and Preparation/filing of Form 15CA-15CB (145 & 146) for foreign remittances, applying DTAA provisions.
• Filing Form 13 (form 128) applications on TRACES for lower/nil TDS deduction certificates.
• Preparation of Form 10B/10BB for charitable/religious trusts.
• Monitor deadlines for tax filing and ensure timely submission to avoid penalties.
• Execution and filing of Tax Audit Reports (Form 3CA/3CB and 3CD).
• Review and filing of Income Tax Returns for individuals, firms, companies and listed entities.
• Conducting direct tax reviews for large group verticals (multi-entity conglomerate structures).
• Managing multiple concurrent client engagements and liaising directly with client finance teams and tax authorities.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of tax filings and related documentation.
• Prepare detailed tax reports for internal stakeholders or clients, outlining tax liabilities and strategies.
