| Purpose of the Job | |||
|
The purpose of job of Statutory Auditor in a firm is to independently review and evaluate organisations financial statement and ensure their accuracy, reliability and compliance with relevant accounting standards and legal regulations. By conducting thorough examinations, identifying risks and report findings, provides assurance to stakeholders contributing to the organisation’s financial integrity and governance.
Work Responsibility Conducting statutory audits of various types of organizations, including listed and unlisted companies, to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Devise audit plans and schedules, and finalize interim and final audit reports. Reviewing and verifying financial statements, accounting records, and other financial documents to assess their accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Identifying and reporting any material errors, omissions, fraud, or other irregularities discovered during the audit process, and providing recommendations for corrective action. Monitor the portal for assigned clients regularly, ensuring timely processing of transactions. Providing advice and guidance to clients on accounting and financial reporting matters, and helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, and promoting the reputation and values of the auditing profession. Mentoring and motivating juniors by providing training, regular feedback and career guidance, while fostering a team environment. | |||
| Technical / Functional / Soft Skills Required | |||
| Proficiency in SAP, Tally, MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of standards of auditing, accounting principles, IND AS / IFRS, tax audit valuation and relevant laws and regulations. Expertise in conducting audits of large companies under listing agreements and private limited companies. Familiarity with the Companies (Auditor’s Report) Order (CARO) 2016. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail. Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong commitment to confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and driving results. | |||
