| Purpose of the Job | |||
| The purpose of the job role is to assist in the management of the organization’s Indirect Tax and Direct Tax compliance and advisory activities. The role involves providing guidance and advice to clients on best practices for managing their GST/Income Tax obligations. This includes working directly with clients to assess their indirect tax and direct tax obligations and to develop strategies for optimizing their indirect tax and direct tax outcomes. Taking Business Development activities and to contribute for further growth of Firm’s business in taxation. | |||
| Work Responsibility | |||
| Independently manage a wide range of GST and Income Tax related assignments including retainership, compliances, tax reviews, GST audit, departmental audits and scrutiny, assessments, appeals, advisory for routine and complex matters, etc. Foster client engagement by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues within agreed timelines, and working closely with our support team to ensure that client needs are met. Ensure the timely execution of deliverables, both technical and non-technical. Offer guidance and consultation on GST and Income Tax matters to clients, including providing insights on tax implications related to new business deals and other relevant scenarios. Good in personal relation skills and capable of building connects with new persons and development of business. Managing existing clients and making good acquaintance with prospective clients. Laying down internal controls for quality and timeliness of assignments for self and team and ensuring its adherence. | |||
| Technical / Functional / Soft Skills Required | |||
| Proficient in Excel and Tally to effectively manage and analyze client data. Possess in-depth knowledge of indirect and direct taxes, including GST, Service Tax, and Value Added Tax (VAT), Corporate tax, Transfer Pricing, HNI Taxation, Trust taxation, etc. with a specialization in litigation. Prior experience in handling GST related assignments such as GST audit, tax reviews, and compliances, etc. Expertise in indirect taxation and direct taxation that includes compliance, advisory, and departmental representation/litigation. Prior experience in handling TDS/Withholding Tax compliance related assignments and preparation of advance tax working, final Income Tax Computation, preparation & filing of ITRs, finalization of Transfer Pricing Audit Certificate, CbCR / Master file Reporting, issuance of 15CB Certificates with knowledge of DTAA, etc. Excellent project management and financial reporting skills. Adaptable and quick learner who can thrive in a dynamic work environment. Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels. Strong commitment to confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and driving results. Comfortable working late or extended hours as required to meet deadlines or client demands. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a develop team members to achieve their full potential. | |||
