Purpose Of Job:
• The Statutory Audit Associate supports the audit team in conducting statutory audits in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. The role involves assisting in testing financial records, verifying documentation, preparing working papers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. It aims to build a strong foundation in audit procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting, enabling the associate to contribute effectively to client audits and develop core professional skills.
Work Responsibility:
| Independently assist in executing a variety of statutory audit assignments, including planning, conducting audit procedures, reviewing financial statements, testing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. Manage client queries related to audit requirements and coordinate with internal team members to provide timely and professional responses. This includes maintaining clear communication, addressing documentation requests, and ensuring smooth execution of audit engagements. Support and guide junior articles or trainees as assigned. This involves helping them understand audit tasks, reviewing their working papers, and ensuring that all audit procedures are completed accurately and within the defined timelines. |

Technical / Functional / Soft Skills Required:
| 1)Proficient in Excel, Tally, and accounting software to analyze financial data, prepare audit schedules, and review client books effectively. 2)Strong understanding of accounting standards (Ind AS/AS), auditing standards, and Companies Act requirements relevant to statutory audits. 3)Experience in conducting audit procedures such as vouching, ledger scrutiny, analytical review, and verification of financial statements. 4)Familiarity with internal control evaluations, risk assessments, and documentation of audit findings. 5)Prior exposure to statutory audit assignments, including audit planning, execution of audit tests, and preparation of working papers. 6)Ability to handle queries during audits and assist in preparing responses for management and regulatory authorities. 7)Quick learner with the ability to adapt to dynamic audit environments and changing client needs. 8)Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. 9)Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation, reporting, and coordination with clients and team members. 10)Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information responsibly. 11)Able to work independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of assigned tasks and contributing to audit results. 12)Comfortable working extended hours during peak audit periods to meet statutory deadlines. 13)Demonstrated potential to guide junior team members, review basic work, and support team productivity where required. |
